Ask the City of Pasadena to Commit to 100% Renewable Electricity by 2035!
Work with Pasadena 100 to advocate for 100 percent renewably-sourced energy for our city by 2035! Pasadena is blessed with a wealth of engineers and numbers wizards who are steering this effort. This is a reasonable, feasible and cost-effective plan which many cities across the US have already committed to. There are three levels of involvement: Level One - Take a picture of the Pasadena 100 postcard (available at Throop) and email it to your Pasadena City Council Person or to Mayor Tornek, and ask them to commit to 100% renewable energy in Pasadena by 2035.
Level Two - Show up at the Public Comment period of each City Council Meeting, Monday nights from about 6:30 - 7:00 pm, and voice your concern for our climate. Take a postcard and hand it to an interested person in the audience!
Level Three - Show your personal commitment by making one change in your life toward using renewable energy. Some ideas: - Choose the "green energy" option on your power bill. - Take public transit one day. - Commute using a Metro bike.
