Hidden City Walks
April 13, 4-6 pm "Urban Mindfulness Walk: Beauty Is Right Under Our Feet" Led by Karen Hirsch
Magical beauty is all around us even in the midst of the big city, but it's often difficult to slow down enough in our daily lives to notice these unexpected miracles. Join this guided mindfulness walk to experience the remarkable beauty that surrounds us here in the city.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and please, no cameras during the walk.
No reservations needed, though parking is limited in the church parking lot.
Just show up at the front door of Throop Church on Del Mar and Los Robles and enjoy Throop Learning Garden before the walk.
April 20, 4-6 pm "Many Windows, One Light" Led by Everett Howe
A walking tour of the historic stained-glass windows in four of downtown Pasadena's churches. We will start at Throop Unitarian Universalist Church (300 S. Los Robles Ave.) at 4:00 p.m., and ends at 6:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church of Pasadena, UCC (464 E. Walnut St.) Docents at each location will give context and history about the windows. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. RSVP by using the eventbite link.
Our "Hope for Earth" Tree
Beginning March 26, come by Throop Learning Garden and write out your hope for bringing peace and healing to Creation.
Place your biodegradable, compost-friendly hope on the beautiful olive tree.
By the end of our 30 Days for the Earth, our collective hopes will be numerous and visible to all!
